Easy Ways To Generate Traffic To Your Blog Website

There is no such easy or quick way to drive traffic to your website. It all depends on what kind of website you are running and comes down to what’s working for you and scale your traffic on those grounds. Below, am listing out the different ways a Blogger/Webmaster drives traffic to their blog. Test one by one and see what works best for you;

You can use these three ways of driving traffic:

Referral Traffic

Via Email Marketing, Social Media, YouTube, etc.

Search Traffic

Through search engines. Especially, when your blog ranks on the top of major search engines like Google, you tend to drive a good amount of traffic.

Direct Traffic

This is the idealistic scenario, and it would take a lot of time, and you need to build a very giant and unique brand to reach this stage. The way you visit sites like Google, Facebook, Wikipedia, etc.

Above these traffic method applied on following Ways:

Keyword Research:

Use proper keywords or keyword phrases for your site’s content. Search engines look for certain keywords that they would show in their results page. In doing so, having the right keyword and keyword phrase is a high requirement in ranking in high in search engine results. You could write your own content or you could hire someone to do it for you. The TRICK here is to use the MOST RELEVANT KEYWORDS for your website.

Viral eBooks:

Another tool that can dramatically increase your website traffic is a viral ebook or report. Most of the time, a viral ebook is a PDF that people send to their contacts, which contains your marketing message. It is called viral because every person that receives the ebook is given a reason to pass along your material.

Before starting a viral marketing campaign, it is important to create a reason why people will want to pass along your marketing message. Some of the best reasons can include simple greed or a desire to provide entertaining information to their friends. If you can develop a hook that will take advantage of either of these, then it will be easy to create a successful viral marketing campaign. What I usually do is create a special 5 to 10-page report on a specific topic. Then I find a Facebook Group or Forum that is related to the topic. This type of viral ebook is valuable because you can place a mini advertising or sponsorship on every copy. As a result, there is a chance that every person that reads the book will click over to your site.

By now, you have probably heard about the power of blogs. If you haven’t created one, then you should create blogs on WordPress / Blogger to take advantage of this traffic pulling tool With blogs, you are providing your audience with fresh new content about your topic. People love to read them because most blogs contain new information in an entertaining and easy-to-read format.

The best part about blogs is how much they are valued by search engines. The majority of search engines consider any information on a blog to be important current news, so they pay special attention to articles listed there. As a result, you can use blogs to drive a larger portion of traffic to your Internet business.

Add Negative Keywords

Don’t forget the importance of negative keywords. The planner can also help you identify negative search terms that you will want to implement in your campaign.

Negative keywords help save you money by preventing your ad from showing on non-relevant search queries.

Set Keyword Match Types

There are four different keyword match types:

  • Broad match
  • Phrase match
  • Exact match
  • Broad match modifier

Proper Usage of Keywords:

You should do a quick keyword research before you start writing down an article. Most of the times the keywords that people tend to search are obvious but in some cases, you have to get an idea of what keywords people are looking for in Google Search.

Backlinks have always been the major factor for a very long time. They would still be an integral part of the algorithm for a very long time. Backlinks are a boon and also curse for Google. Backlinks can help in filtering the good results from the bad ones, but in this process, spammers tend to abuse Google by building backlinks and outranking Google for many keywords.

Google says to focus on the quality of the content and backlinks will be generated organically. That means people will automatically link back to you if your blog has great content. But, in the initial days, no one will link back to you as you are relatively new, and another case would be you don’t have great content on your site, so other people are not at all interested in linking back to you.

Drive Traffic via Social Media

Social Media is vast these days and almost everyone on Internet use some or the other social media network. It might be Facebook, Twitter, Quora, YouTube, Reddit, Tumblr or Stumbleupon. All these platforms can drive a massive amount of traffic.

The major area which you can focus on driving traffic via Social Networking sites is Facebook.

Email Marketing

All you have to do is collect the emails of the people who are visiting your blog via some marketing software like Aweber, MailChimp, GetRespose, etc. Mail them on a regular basis about your latest updates. Email marketing works only in a long run and doesn’t give you results instantly. You should have a lot of patience in this process.

Be Aggressive

Based on my recent experience launching new Google AdWords campaigns, I no longer suggest that marketers take a gradual, “crawl, walk, run” approach. Today, I recommend a more aggressive methodology.

I believe that marketers should be fairly assertive with initial keyword bids and budgets. You need to collect the ad impression and click data required to start optimizing your program.
